The NATE-Certification Advantage

March 20, 2018

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is proud to send NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes throughout North America every day. While this title of being Nate-Certified decidedly sounds comforting, what does it truly mean?

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was established by and has been acknowledged by the entire HVACR industry for nearly 20 years. However, not all technicians in the industry are necessarily NATE-Certified. The certification is non-mandatory and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment without the certification.

It’s important to Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are putting the most skilled technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these standards, the NATE-Certification exams confirm real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that evaluate the technician’s understanding of these guidelines.

Due to the fact that Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses largely on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians attain their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may earn certification in one or more of these areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be sure that the technicians at Service Experts are highly qualified and professional and will do the job correctly from the start. Our company has the know-how and skill set to not only repair your HVAC systems, but to take the best care of your equipment. Call to have one of our NATE-Certified experts inspect your HVAC system to make sure that it is equipped to ensure your family’s comfort all year long.
