What is the Difference Between an Air Handler and Furnace?

Air handlers and furnaces aren't often found in the same home in Kingston. If you use a furnace, you likely don't need to consider an air handler.

Air handlers are frequently linked with heat pumps and deliver airflow across your home. Some models also have backup heating and cooling pieces to support the heat pump.

A furnace works in a different way by sending hot air into your vents, which move it around your home. Because furnaces rely on combustion chambers to make heated air, they don't have some of the components you'll find in a normal air handler.
